We’ll be using this site for teacher-to-student communication as well as student-to-student communication. My goal is to do at least one blog post per week. Generally I will post on Monday and you have until Friday to complete the weekly blog by leaving a comment.
Before we get started we’ll have to set some ground rules. First of all, all postings to this site must use school appropriate language. When you post, write in complete sentences. Key your first initial and last name at the end of your post so I know who posted it (all posts are worth points). When commenting on another student’s post, keep your comments non-personal. You can agree or disagree with a comment but refrain from sarcasm and/or put-downs. State your position on the issue at hand and why you feel that way.
Your first assignment: Respond to the following using the comment link bottom right of this post. Ask if you don't see it. Have you ever blogged before? What do you want to learn in this class? Tell me a little about yourself. Include information on your family, friends and things you enjoy doing. Due today :)
Set-up a Yahoo Account if you don't already have one. If you are going to use it for only school, you can set your user name as bhs followed by your student ID number.
i learned today about the wideo that you can drive a car and fly it whenever you want to and i found that it was very cool.

ReplyDeleteI am the youngest of three children, and I am the only girl. I work hard in school, and my favorite thing to do is dance. I have been dancing for 10 years and i love it. I want to learn more about the computer and things like that. D.Pidsosny.
ReplyDeleteI have 4 siblings, and i am second to youngest. I only live with my 1 sister, the other 3 brothers are in toledo and another city in ohio. I like to do a lot of things so i can't really pick 1 thing. This class is about computers so i hope to learn about computers in this class.

I am Jimmy Pilrose, and I have never blogged before. (btw, this is dejavu; even myself saying this is dejavu.) I don't know what to expect from this class; most online aspects are incredibly easy to learn, so i'm not so sure why the class exist. Maybe to educate us on internet safety? I'll find out soon.

I'm into Strength training (check out the book "Convict Conditioning" http://www.dragondoor.com/b41.html; don't let the name scare you, it has nothing to do with being or becoming a criminal) and Cardiovascular training. I like Chess, art, mathematics and I plan to become either an Astrophysicist or a Neurobiologist; I also play World of Warcraft. I have one brother, a vegan dad, a loving mother, and a beautiful cat named Pelusa. Lastly, I was born in Southern California and moved to Michigan at the age of 5

I am 14 years old. I am the oldest child of 2. My younger sister is 12 and in 7th grade. I'm really close to my family. My bestfriend Annie means the world to me. I adore my puppy Molly. I have blogged before. I used this over the summer for my honors english work. Some of the things I would like to learn in this class would be how to set up your own web page and how to be a more responsible computer user. I am the oldest of 4 kids and love my big family.
